Juan “Frojax” Frochaux is a drummer and multi-instrumentalist from La Villa de Los Santos, Republic of Panamá. Getting his start in the mid-90’s South Florida punk scene, throughout his career Juan has played with notable acts such as CJ RAMONE, Latin Grammy winners Los Rabanes and more. Juan is an official Zildjian artist and has also been endorsed by Vans, Converse, Kenneth Cole, Vision Street Wear and Ecko Unlimited.
When not playing drums Juan owns and operates his tattoo shop Rock Spot Tattoo & Gallery in Panamá City. He also aids in the organization and promotion of cultural exchange programs between the Cuban Ministry of Culture and musicians. Juan is also a contract attorney and concert organizer.
Currently, Los Nuevos Bajos, Juan’s newest musical project featuring Spike Slawson of Me First and The Gimme Gimmes, has completed the recording phase of their second release, which is slated to be released in the spring of 2020. Described as “Post-Punk Boleros from the jungle” by Slawson, the ensemble features an array of Panama’s best players, some of which have played with Prince, Ruben Blades and trap phenomenon Sech.
