I was born in La Villa de Los Santos, Panama, where my relationship with the drum as an instrument began. At the age of seven, I moved to the United States and started my life as a drummer in the 1990s Miami punk scene. Later, I moved to New York where I attended over 150 auditions, something I consider to be an intensely formative and educational experience for me as a musician. In 2004 I returned to Panamá, which is where I currently reside with my wife and children. Thanks to music, I have traveled to different places, cultivated lasting friendships, it has also afforded me the privilege of playing with some of my childhood heroes, including CJ Ramone (The Ramones) and Emilio Regueira (Los Rabanes), as well as accompanying them on tours across the United States, Costa Rica, Cuba, and South America. Throughout my career, I have managed to combine my passions for illustration, percussion, and music through tour production, events, crowdfunding campaigns, and documentaries, both small and and for major companies. I am passionate about creating venture opportunities for the national and international music community, strengthening the creative economy, and providing spaces for personal growth through having a relationship with an instrument. I believe that music as well as music education can give people a chance to not only express themselves artistically, but to also explore their humanity in a meaningful way. It is this belief that has made music an integral part of my life, and I am passionate about sharing this transformative power with others. There is always an opportunity to create something together that resonates the essence of our shared humanity.
