Between May and July of 2022, I packed my drums into the car and drove across The Republic of Panama on a tour of drum clinics that took me through some of Panamá’s most scenic and historical cities, making stops in Panamá City, Penonomé, Chitré, Santiago and David. Propelled by the intention of creating a meaningful connection with Panama’s richly diverse communities of percussionists and musicians, I was able to meet some very special people as well as discover unforgettable places during our journey. Full Drop, Panama's premier action sports/lifestyle chain and committed promoter of Panamanian culture, served as the venue for every stop of this tour. Each clinic was presented in a spoken word format, which allowed me to share stories about my experiences as a drummer from a broad and entertaining perspective, which in turn also made the subject matter more relatable for other non-musicians in assistance. In the spirit of collaboration, all events culminated in a live performance between an artist from each city and myself on the drums. ​In order to truly capture the spirit of each event, my team and I produced a series of 1-minute videos showcasing the spirit and vibe of each clinic.
